The Best Date

So today Doran and I had a date we don't go out often due to the price of things. Today Doran decided that we were going to go on a date so we started out at noon after lunch and went to cold stone and got Ice Cream (I had a free coupon for my birthday). Then we headed to Cracker Jaxs (Mini Golf $6 and Go Carts $6) We also had coupons for there as a buy one get one free. We then went to dinner to Olive Garden with the gift cards that I got for my birthday from Bill, McKenzie, Holland, Jim, Courtney, Ethan and Ethan, Cameo.

We had so much fun and didn't spend much at all. Thank you to all of your contributions.

The Wonder of Comunication

So as I get Ethan down from his high chair he gives me a hug and says "thank you". He than continues on into the front room and starts to pick up his blankets and heads to his room. I follow him and as he puts them into his crib I ask him "Ethan what are you doing?" He looks up at me and says "Blankets night night." I figure that he is just putting his blankets to bed. I go back to the kitchen to clean his high chair. A few minuets later he comes out and with tears running down his face he comes to me and says "Go night night please." So sweet I go in and lay him down and as I walk out of the room he falls to sleep. His normal nap is 1:30-3:00 today he slept 12:00-3:00 and I had to wake him up. He is so sweet and life is starting to get easy now that he can tell me what he wants.

This is so fun

Mom Rice had a link from her blog to this site. It was so much fun. I find it funny that all of mine are based off of a white shade. I dont think anyone knows this but my favorite color is white. I love white it is so clean and crisp. Well I have to get going.

Your personal style is a mix of 3 specific styles:
55% Cottage Chic
27% Classic
18% Nantucket Style

Cottage Chic
Who says that cottages can't be modern and chic? Who says that they have to be floral and cheesy? Not you!
You love the carefree spirit that the cottage interior inspires, but you are also serious about your appreciation for modern art and hip treasures. You love old and new alike, and love to highlight them all to expose the uniqueness of each. What better way to show off these treasures than with a light background?

Classic
What's old is new again! The beauty of Classic style is how well it takes all of the beautiful forms, colors and textures of the past and reinvents them in a way that feels both fresh and inspired.
The style itself is a mix of European influences and French, English and Italian antiques and replicas are often used together. Furniture is well proportioned and comfortable and the rooms give off an air of sophistication and grace. Oil paintings depicting still-life or nature scenes and emphasizing symmetry of pairs helps maintain the traditional nature of the room. Windows are often covered with opulent fabric shades and/or drapery.
Traditional rooms give off an air of history that seems to say "I was here long before you, and will remain long after you've gone." And yet, even with this level of sophistication, the rooms are soft and inviting.

Nantucket Style
Oh how you love the beach! Who doesn't, right? And so your dream home is either perched in your favorite beach town, or you've brought that favorite beach town into your house.
Your art and accessories speak directly to the activities that are found at the beach. Pieces of driftwood you found here, pictures or paintings of the amazing views there. Things that remind you of the coast - surf boards or fishing boats - are found throughout the house. The feeling of the seaside is both abstract and literal in the design of your space. The fabrics are natural, cottons and linens and are light in color and touch. Much of the furniture is wood or wood framed (the lighter the better, think driftwood!) and wicker, when done right, is a must.
And since your true inspiration is the sea, the colors and textures in your home are the same that you would find at your favorite beach: white, light beiges and grays of the sand and driftwood, a variety of blues for the ocean and sky, and greens and vibrant blues of the sea glass but the key is white! Your space should feel light and airy and give off the mood one has when at the beach: laid back!
Your furniture is comfortable and the layout is cozy. The more it reminds you of actually sitting on the warm sand, the better! And what do you do at the beach? Hang out with family and friends - and your home is just an extension of this play place. And though the space is filled with large white furniture, it somehow manages to feel both durable and casual

A Problem

So Doran and I were talking a few days ago about how he doesn't like the tires that are on the car. We have been having problems with the air and the sides round weird so they always look flat. Well last night we dropped Kate off at home with her glucose level on the rise (She said she wanted to see if she could hit 200) We stopped at Walmart to get a patch kit for Doran's bike so he could get to work.
We are about a mile and a half from the house when Doran notices the light that tells you the tire pressure is off. Doran drove a little farther then decided he should check the tires. He gets out and announces that the tire is flat. Well me thinking we could drive to the gas station and put air in it because it is always as Doran says for anything that is a little low on pressure Flat. So I get out of the car to see how flat it is. Well after 40 mins of trying to figured out the spar tire we were on our way. We now get to buy new tires before our trip to Oregon in July.
I am thinking this. One of the tires would have had a problem on the way and this was the way to prevent it.

Easter

Yesterday we had Easter dinner and the egg hunt at Grandmas. This year was a lot more calm. I enjoyed it. Doran and I got 30 eggs. More than we have gotten in the last two years.

Husbands

Why is it that anytime you tell a husband something he never listens. For the past few weeks I have told Doran the the business cards were going to be $40 for 250 a little high but the are two sided and look wonderful and professional. So I got them yesterday and brought them home and Doran loved them then he asked again how much they would cost. As I had already told him they were $40 he flipped and started in on how I told him that they would only be $5. We sat down and went over prices and types of cards. It is a tax write off. He finally remembered this morning that I did tell him and that he had oked it. Got to love him. Is there something that I can slip him to improve his memory?

(By the way Jim the cards look beautiful)

Potty Please

Mommy and Daddy bought Ethan a potty to go on the toilet. He loves it. Several times a day he says potty please Danol. So sweet he is really getting to the point of being ready.

Sleeping Cutie

Isn't he so cute. I had finally gotten him to sleep around the same time that my arms fell asleep to . He hates sleeping on his back and that day he just wanted to be snuggled. The best alternative was a couch pillow. Soft and round like a person. worked great.
